Energy Efficiency & Thermal Performance
Double glazing uses two panes of glass separated by an air or gas-filled space. Many SMIRO window and door systems are designed with double glazing as the standard configuration or as an available glass option, depending on the selected product series and project requirements. Final glass configuration should be confirmed during quotation.
Low-E, or Low-Emissivity glass, includes a thin coating that helps manage infrared and UV transfer while still allowing visible light to pass through. It can support improved thermal comfort when selected as part of the right glazing configuration.

SMIRO currently states a 7-year warranty for aluminium profiles, insulated glass units and surface coatings, and a 3-year warranty for hardware and accessories. Hardware and accessories are covered by a 3-year warranty. SMIRO provides aftercare guidance for cleaning, hardware adjustment, gasket seal maintenance and exposure-zone considerations. Clean aluminium frames and glass regularly with a soft cloth and mild, pH-neutral soapy water. Tracks and drainage areas should be kept free of debris. Coastal or high-exposure environments may require more frequent cleaning.
SMIRO states that shipments are protected by transit insurance. If structural products or glazing units are damaged during transportation, SMIRO will review the issue and arrange replacement support in line with the applicable transit protection process and project documentation.
